Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem

Felt like doing this for a while but have no idea how. OK basically Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem is a japanese animated musical film. Some say its the longest jap mv, others say it's nothing special. But for me it really branded into my memory since i was 13 while watching cartoon network lol. The film is the visual realization of Discovery, an album by Daft Punk. Each track from the album has been animated as an episode in the story of the abduction and rescue of an interstellar pop band. The film was produced by the creators of the Discovery album, along with Toei Animation, under the supervision of Leiji Matsumoto. The film has no dialogue and minimal sound effects. The whole story is hard for me to put into words. To make it short, The crescendolls aka. Octave, Baryl, Arpegius and Stella got kidnapped from thier planet, was robbed of their mind, landed on planet earth, make huge record and money for the kidnapper bastard and its up to Captain Harlock Shep to save the day.

Few of the songs that I like from the Film.

Yeah one more time, couldn't get this out of my head since 13, still can't lol.

Guitar solo here is quite nice

My fav song lol. Lyrics simple but deep. I fell in love with a superstar, who wouldn't.

If only humans could dress this fast lol.

I just wanna hold u and give u all my sweet sweet memories.

The whole movie. Watch it if u have the nerve to sit there for one hour.

Life is sweet being young

Went for a vacation during Raya with my friend, together with his family, sis and friends. There are so many ppl and the atmosphere is just great. I'm amazed by how mature some ppl younger than me by 4 years of age can be lol. The pool and the gymnasium is truly great. And i even got something extra, got to see the person with the most luscious lips i have ever seen. I've seen many beautiful ppl but her's and her sis's were truly astounding in many ways haha, maybe i'm just exaggerating. Too bad i never got a pic and the only clue i got was that she is in fact a lodge student. But the memories all seem so sweet to me and thats all that matters.

Requiem & Reminiscence II Part 2

Part 2 of Requiem and Reminiscence. If you don't understand Japanese and don't like Gackt + all the people in the stadium screaming, then you can just skip about 40 minutes of it. The rest of the songs are kinda in a hipity hopity happy emo songs. I especially like the mascots since they are so adorable. Koakuma Heaven is simply just amazing, Gackt with beauties lol, as if he can't get enough. There's also silly and funny playing of something like 02jam. The rest of the songs are ok only, Kimino Tameni Dekiru Koto is quite good but an older piece. The last song performed, Lost Angels is my fav from part 2. Truly one of the greater piece, some say it rivals Todokanai. The SS Nazi Uniform, soldiers and snow really makes an impact in the end.

Requiem & Reminiscence II Part 1

After downloading Part 1 of Requiem & Reminiscence II, I was quickly blown away by the intro of the movie, opening with Jesus. Too bad I didn't download the First R & R, so I have no idea what was going on at the start. My assumptions were that he was an Ex-German military officer from WWII, they experimented on his body and stuff and now he wants to find out who he was and seek out revenge on those who did this to him. The only two songs that appeal to me the most in part 1 are Jesus and Oblivious while the rest are neutral effect on starting, building up to some impressions on bridge or chorus and ending in normal stance.

Alan Dawa Dolma (阿兰达瓦卓玛)

If you combine a chinese singer of Tibetan descent singing in the Jap music Industry, then you get Alan Dawa Dolma. Skilled with the Er Hu and Piano, this girl certainly caught the eyes of production comapany Avex Trax at an audition in China in 2006.

Early life (Wikipedia)
A native of Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province, China, alan was born in Kangding, July 25, 1987(age 22) but grew up with her grandparents in nearby Danba, often referred to as "Beauty Valley". alan's father was a local government official and her mother was a singer in the local Art Troupe. She started to play the erhu at an early age, and in 1997 left her hometown for the Affiliated Middle & High School of the Sichuan Conservatory of Music in Chengdu, after ranking first in the erhu audition as a fourth grader.

In 2003 she was accepted to the prestigious PLA Art Academy in Beijing and double majored in vocal music and erhu. Playing the erhu, she performed traditional Chinese music with a group of girls at the 2006 gala performance near Cairo, which celebrated the 50th anniversary of the establishment of China-Egypt diplomatic ties.

During this time, alan also performed as a singer throughout China. In 2005 she released her first Chinese album, Sheng Sheng Zui Ru Lan, covering songs by more established C-pop singers. In October 2006, selected to represent mainland China together with Wei Chen (with whom she later collaborated for Jia You! Ni You ME!), alan won second place at the 9th Asia New Singer Competition, narrowly losing to Filipina singer Maria Donna Taneo by 0.005 points.

Career as an Avex Artist
In April 2006, alan distinguished herself from roughly 40,000 hopefuls when Avex Trax held auditions throughout Chinese cities that year. After graduating with excellence a year later, she became Avex's first inked artist from China and moved to Tokyo, Japan in September 2007. In November 2007, her first Japanese single "Ashita e no Sanka" was released.

In May 2008, alan released Shiawase no Kane/Ai Jiu Shi Shou and all profits from the songs were donated to the Red Cross to help the victims of the Sichuan Earthquake in her home province. A later Japanese single titled Gunjou no Tani was also dedicated to the people of Sichuan.

In June 2008, alan sang the theme song Natsukashii Mirai: longing future for NHK's Save the Future special TV programs which raised awareness of the environment nationwide. Beginning with this song, which was themed on earth, alan's next five Japanese singles each dealt with a traditional Buddhist element from the Japanese Godai or Tibetan Bön.

Chosen to sing the theme songs (Xin Zhan: Red Cliff and Chi Bi: Da Jiang Dong Qu) of the two-episode Chinese blockbuster Red Cliff, alan performed at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2008. The Japanese versions Red Cliff: Shin-Sen and Kuon no Kawa were recorded for the films' showings in Japan.

In 2009, her ninth Japanese single "Kuon no Kawa" debuted at #3 on the Oricon weekly charts, the highest ever by a singer from China.

alan is a Tibetan Buddhist and aims to sing about "love and peace". One distinctive singing style of alan's is the so-called "Tibetan wail", where she is able to stretch her vocals for a long period of time at very high notes.

This is the PV for her latest single Ballad: Namonaki Koi no Uta.The song is the theme song of the same-titled movie starring Tsuyoshi Kusanagi and Yui Aragaki.
