Melody. Ishikawa Miyuki Appreciation 1/3 (PV section)

melody. (石川 美由紀 メロディ Miyuki Melody Ishikawa?) (born February 24, 1982 in Hawaii, U.S.) is a female J-Pop singer and TV host. She debuted on February 19, 2003 with the song "Dreamin' Away", under Toy's Factory. According to melody.'s blog (October 22, 2008), she states that she will put her musical career on hiatus and pursue a career as a fashion designer. This is the first part of the appreciation and I'll start off with all the promotional videos I could muster.

Top 5 Tokio Hotel Songs that I like (English Versions)

5) 1000 Oceans ~ The BG scenery is nice, love the vid but I still prefer the German version better.

4) By Your Side ~ The German version is so much nicer compared to this. Reason, I think the chorus in English just doesn't click me.

3) Automatic ~All I can say is that the German version for this song is much better than this. Still it’s pretty good in English.

2) Ready Set Go ~ This is one of those songs that sound better in English than their Original German Versions.

1) Through the monsoon ~ Definitely my favorite version out of all the English versions by Tokio Hotel. There’s just something about this vid that I can’t put words into. Gotta admit that Bill’s voice is much nicer when he matures. LoL

Top 5 Tokio Hotel Songs that I like (German Versions)

Here are the top 5 songs by Tokio Hotel that I like. These guys sure can rock and they are really awesome. I know that Bill looks feminine but he is really cool, and that's the reason why most guys get jealous of him haha.

5) Durch den Monsun ~ The reason why I rated this no.5 is because I'm really not used to Bill's voice in this video, but this is the hairstyle that I love most by him. He sounds much nicer when he matures haha.

4)Übers ende der Welt ~ Not bad but I like the English version better due to the chorus. "Too young to live a lie, look into my eyes. Ready set go it's time to rock the sky is changing we are one. Together we can make it while the world is crashing down. Don't you turn around"

3) 1000 Meere ~ This is one of those normal songs by them that I like very much. The whole vid feels like part of Monsoon.

2) Automatich ~ Very nice video indeed. Kinda reminds me a little of the older vids. Nevertheless this new style by them is really good.

1) An Deiner Seite (Ich bin da) ~ The part where song almost ends is the reason why I voted this no 1. The part when he screams out Ich bin da!!, is just remarkable.

Nart Yuwanart Arayanimitsakul

I've said it before and I will say it again. Nart Yuwanart Arayanimitsakul is my favourite Thai girl of all time. Why? Simply because I fell in love with her at first sight. Haha, sure she may be 5 years older than me but who cares right. Her debut as Dao in Thai hit love comedy film Seasons Change started it all. It's a sad fact that she only acted in one movie and made a short cameo appearance in another Thai Movie entitled Hormones. She has awe-inspiring talent with the violin and she's one of those girls that look really really good naturally without much make up or styling her hair. Below are a few vids featuring her.

Ono Show, don't get it since it's in Thai but she looks really great here.

Nart is really cute oh yeah!!

Pocky anyone?

Some random pictures of her.

One of the final scenes in season change.

Sweet!!

Cute!!

Very cute indeed!!

In casual attire but nice.

Adorable!

Sexy!!

Tokio Hotel ~ Humanoid (German Vers.)

Humanoid is the third German studio album and the second English studio album by German band Tokio Hotel. The album was recorded in both German and English with both versions set for a simultaneous worldwide release bearing the same title, Humanoid. The German version of the album was released on October 2, 2009 in Germany and other European countries, while the English version was released in the United States on October 6, 2009.

Quite a nice album I can say so myself. Most of the tracks are more to techno and echo out vocals contradicting to their past albums of rocking out and schrei effects. Bill's voice is still as remarkable as always. I love this album compared to their previous works since all the songs are composed nicely in a way which does not involve much screaming out (Rockers Style). The best thing of all, I seriously like all the tracks from this album except for the last one screamin. I'm definitely giving this a thumbs up 4.9/5.

1. Komm
2. Sonnensystem
3. Automatisch (Really nice!)
4. Lass Uns Laufen
5. Humanoid
6. Für Immer Jetzt
7. Kampe Der Liebe
8. Hunde
9. Menschen Suchen Menschen
10. Alien
11. geisterfahrer (Recommended)
12. Zoom
13. Träumer
14. Hey Du (Sounds a little like we will rock you)
15. That Day
16. Screamin'

Linzi Stoppard

Linzi Stoppard, the second person to make me get addicted to violin all over again. Sends me the chills.

Golden Time Lover / Tsunaida Te

The Third OP/ED for the ever popular Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. Golden Time Lover by Sukima Switch and Tsunaida Te by Lil'B.

I personally like Tsunaida Te, especially the guitar part at the opening. Golden Time Lover suits the whole part of the OP with lyrics that sync naturally with the sequence of the OP.

First soundtrack release from anime OVA series "Hellsing," composed by Hayato Matsuo and performed by the Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra in Japan. Most probably from OVA 1 and 2. 5. Sen no Kima Man no Hitomi

Dead Fantasy I ~ V

Dead Fantasy is a series of CG movies created by Monty Oum, featuring cast from the Final Fantasy series and the Dead or Alive series battling it out.

Since the first installment the Dead Fantasy series has been well received by fans of both the ‘’Final Fantasy’’ and ‘’Dead or Alive’’ franchises with trailers and previews for the installments, and the installments themselves, being shown in several major gaming conventions.

It is currently unknown how many installments the series will consist of.

Dead Fantasy I
The first installment of Dead Fantasy was posted in October 2007 and introduces the first six female characters of the series battling inside and outside a temple situated on the top of a tower. The first episode has been labeled by Monty Oum as the one he "wanted to do the least" because it only served as an "introduction" for the other episodes.

Just one word to describe ~ Awesome

Dead Fantasy II
The 2nd installment was posted March 2008 and was also featured at the Anime Boston convention on March 23, 2008. This segment introduced the use of magic on both sides of the battle and is a good 7 minutes longer then Dead Fantasy I. The action begins where the last installment left off with the arrival of Tifa and continues on to cover more of the temple until the temple itself is destroyed and the girls fight while descending the outside temple wall. Landing on a lake of lava the battle continues until the lake is frozen solid and the girls (now a total of 9 combatants) battle until they are seperated and sent in pairs to different locations.

Rinoa + Vanishing Star + Angel wings = Invinsible

Dead Fantasy III
The first of a series of one-on-one battles Dead Fantasy III was released alongside Dead Fantasy IV and showcases the Materia Magic battle between Tifa and Hitomi within a partially demolished cathedral. It is the first installment to show physical repercussions from the battle such as injuries and ripped clothing.

Who would've known Tifa had so many MATERIA under her sleeves. Wait, she doesn't even have one!

Dead Fantasy IV
The one-on-one battles continue in Dead Fantasy IV. Released consecutively with Dead Fantasy III, the fourth installment portrays the battle between Kasumi and Yuna, with appearances from Kasumi X and C....S..... It also partially illustrates what happened to Kairi, who was the only combatant transported without a partner.

Yuna~Summons VS Kasumi~Clones. Who wins? B**d* B*a* haha.

Dead Fantasy V
Hayate and his ninja clan take over Hitomi's fight and now they pursue Tifa. A chase now ensues as Tifa is reluctant to fight this many enemies at once. After being chased along a train, she makes a desperate jump, ending up in a warehouse. Cornered, she must fight the entire horde of ninjas......

Is Tifa Indestructible?

Wonder Girls vs Wonder Baby

My good friend Alvin aka Chipmunk told me to go watch this clip on YouTube. All I am able to say is I’m totally blown away. The wonder girls are pretty and cute and all but I’m rooting for the baby hands down. Omg, the way she expresses herself in songs: Irony and Tell me are just simply amazing. But that pathetic talk host just wanna steal an easy kiss from her. I mean come on dude, she’s only 4 and you’re doing that to a 4 year old. Have you no shame haha.

Winter Sonata Anime Adaptation

A Winter Sonata anime is to be aired in October of 2009, with 23 members of the original cast voicing the characters. The original 2002 drama follows a girl named Yu Jin Jung and her male classmate Joon Sang Kang as tragedy and angst befalls them and those around them in the years between high school and young adulthood. The 2004 Japanese broadcast triggered the ongoing "Korean wave" of pop culture in Japan and turned the lead actor Yong Joon Bae into a superstar among Japanese female viewers. The Japanese publisher Ohzora Publishing Co. eventually imported and translated the drama's manhwa adaptation under the title Winter Love Song.

The videos feature voice-acting by the two main leads from the original drama, Bae (Kang) and Ji Woo Choi (Jung). Bae had agreed to reprise his role as part of the 2007-2008 deal that gave his Key East company's production credit for the anime, and Choi agreed to join the cast shortly thereafter. The anime will premiere on the Skyper! SkyChan HD and DATV channel in Japan on October 17.

The only thing I regret most in high school was not being able to watch the drama. But lady luck is on my side and grants me a second chance with this anime adaptation. I have very high expectations for this anime; hopefully it will be a success and not a failure like White album for instance. Most anime of this genre have characters that are just pretty to watch, good quality animation but poor storyline and cliché dialogues, not to mention abysmal personalities and actions that sometimes you just want to throw your shoe at them while forcing yourself to sit there and watch the entire series just to know what happens in the end. I hope Winter Sonata Anime adaptation will blow me away and leave me another tear-jerking moment like how Clannad / After Story did for me.

Taiyou no Uta / Midnight Sun (film)

From Wikipedia

Kaoru has Xeroderma Pigmentosum (XP), an illness which also might be described as the allergy to the sun, and is not allowed to be exposed to sunlight. She led her lifestyle opposite the normal, sleeping during the day and active at night. The only motivation in her life was singing herself away and doing street lives every night at a square in front of a train station with a guitar in her hand. Outside her room window, she spots a high school boy, standing with a surfboard in his hands. It becomes her routine to watch him and his friends come and go to the ocean every morning, before going to sleep. One day, she introduces herself to him and becomes friends, without letting him know about her illness. Can her feelings and songs reach him? How will he think of her illness if he finds out?

Basically the same storyline from the drama series of the same name, except that Kaoru and Koji are played by Yui and Takashi Tsukamoto. My mistake, the movie came out first and was later adapted into a Drama series. So Erika Sawajiri and Takayuki Yamada replaced Yui and Takashi as Kaoru and Koji. Haha. The movie is as good as the drama series in its own ways but the less melodramatic compared to the drama. Inserts and Theme Songs are as good as the drama since all of them are done by Yui. Yui’s acting is seriously not bad since she can act cute and adorable but serious when she needs to be. The problem is every time she acts serious, she still looks cute and that’s so lovable to watch haha.
Below are some of the inserts and Theme songs featured in the movie.

Goodbye Days ~ PV

Goodbye Days ~ Acoustic

Not the one by Yui but a fan, she's as good as her i give her credit for that. If you really want to see the original one, then you need to watch the movie haha.

Taiyou no uta / A Song to the Sun (Drama)

While working at a seaside inn with his high school buddies, Fujishiro Koji meets Kaoru Amane, a street musician. Kaoru is suffering from an incurable disease called XP (xeroderma pigmentosum), and can’t be exposed to the sun. Under the sun, the two would never have met. Still, destiny brings the two together. Since the day he suddenly lost his job, Koji has lost sight of his dreams. But when he meets Kaoru, who is making positive efforts to become a singer, Koji regains his long-forgotten passion for music. --TBS

Seems like a simple story with 10 eps and kinda cliche' in a way, but trust me its worth watching since the inserts have wonderful and simple understood lyrics, BGM awesome with its own style and Erika Sawajiri looks cute. Wish my summer was as meaningful as this lol. Below are inserts, theme song, live and acoustic versions available in the drama.
