Taiyou no Uta / Midnight Sun (film)

From Wikipedia

Kaoru has Xeroderma Pigmentosum (XP), an illness which also might be described as the allergy to the sun, and is not allowed to be exposed to sunlight. She led her lifestyle opposite the normal, sleeping during the day and active at night. The only motivation in her life was singing herself away and doing street lives every night at a square in front of a train station with a guitar in her hand. Outside her room window, she spots a high school boy, standing with a surfboard in his hands. It becomes her routine to watch him and his friends come and go to the ocean every morning, before going to sleep. One day, she introduces herself to him and becomes friends, without letting him know about her illness. Can her feelings and songs reach him? How will he think of her illness if he finds out?

Basically the same storyline from the drama series of the same name, except that Kaoru and Koji are played by Yui and Takashi Tsukamoto. My mistake, the movie came out first and was later adapted into a Drama series. So Erika Sawajiri and Takayuki Yamada replaced Yui and Takashi as Kaoru and Koji. Haha. The movie is as good as the drama series in its own ways but the less melodramatic compared to the drama. Inserts and Theme Songs are as good as the drama since all of them are done by Yui. Yui’s acting is seriously not bad since she can act cute and adorable but serious when she needs to be. The problem is every time she acts serious, she still looks cute and that’s so lovable to watch haha.
Below are some of the inserts and Theme songs featured in the movie.

Goodbye Days ~ PV

Goodbye Days ~ Acoustic

Not the one by Yui but a fan, she's as good as her i give her credit for that. If you really want to see the original one, then you need to watch the movie haha.
