Warhammer 40K ~ Ultramarines the Movie

Maybe I was just expecting a little too much out of this, but heck it's an awesome movie worth watching. The presentation is spectacular and well sequenced even though it's just 70 minutes. This climax of the movie was indeed unexpected which caught me off guard and I'm deeply impressed with it. The thing that annoys me a little is the slow to action part which is pretty slow indeed. An overall 8/10 for me.

Story and Spoiler (Warning)
Captain Severus of the Ultramarines Chapter receives a distress signal on the planet of Mithron. Leaving the bulk of his company on Algol, Severus sets off for Mithron with only a ten-man squad for support. On the tough and unforgiving surface of Mithron, Ultima Squad discovers that a terrible battle has taken place. The planet's Imperial shrine has been desecrated, and vile evils unleashed. As unseen dangers close in around them, the recruits have to mount a tense and deadly insertion to find any surviving Imperial Fists, and the reason behind the distress beacon.

Well to describe the Ultramarines, they are tough indeed and yet somewhat delicate in between. The reason probably lies on the lack of experience of the new Ultima squad. "Close in, No more drills, no more practice, you are all about to receive the honor of going into combat for the first time as Ultramarines" So not bad for their first battle. I'm quite new to this and I have only played the games so far. The battle on Mithron against the traitor legion, Chaos Space Marines Black Legion is epic.

I was almost convinced that Brother Proteus was tainted by the power of Chaos from the start based on his intonation from the practice against the Veteran Hero, Captain Severus. It is important to obey the Captain's orders. One small mistake of not holding the line and letting emotions run through results in death (Boreas). Ultramarines are not immortals, they can still die. Maybe I expected too much from the perspective that the hero never dies. I was totally dumbfounded that Captain Severus is actually the Daemon Prince Dhar'leth in disguise and using the Chaplain and Brother Niddon as a means of bait was ingenious.

Re: Birth

Only two tracks but it's so worth it. Well for the fact that the first track is indeed the famed opening for Another Century Episode R.

1) Re:birth
2) ふられ気分で Rock'n'Roll (Furare kibun de Rock'n'Roll, Feeling Rejected, Rock'n'Roll) (Tom Cat cover, 1984)

Valkyria Chronicles III OP

Well I couldn't believe it sounds just like May'n singing this right. So it had to be her. Another PSP game to look forward to.

Squad 442 (The Nameless)a Gallian penal military unit compose of military offenders, deserters and criminals who are assigned with the most dangerous missions and "dirty work" of the Gallian military.

The highlight of the 3 characters from Squad 442:

07) Kurt Irving (クルト・アーヴィング Kuruto Āvingu?)
Voiced by: Yuichi Nakamura
Kurt is the protagonist of Valkyria Chronicles III. Also known as "Number 7", Kurt is a former army officer who was accused for treason before being transferred to The Nameless. Kurt hopes to clear his name return to the regular military forces by leading The Nameless. The first time I saw this dude I thought he was staring in a H anime series lol. Finally, the main protaganist who needs to choose between two girls like classic Macross plot. Gunther with better hair I guess?

01) Imca (イムカ Imuka?)
Voiced by: Masumi Asano
Imca, also known as "Ace Number 1", is a Darcsen Heavy Weapon specialist whose village was destroyed by the Valkyria. She joins The Nameless to seek revenge against the Valkyria responsible. She has a difficult relationship with Riela due to the latter's heritage. Finally, a Feisty version of Isara Gunther.

013) Riela Marceris (リエラ・マルセリス Riera Maruserisu?)
Voiced by: Aya Endō
Riela, also known as "Number 13", is a young woman who initially does not know that she is a descendant of the Valkyria. During her time in the regular army, Riela became infamous as the lone survivor of many wiped-out army squadrons and is now viewed as a jinx on whatever unit she is assigned to. She seriously looks like a cross between Alicia, Rosie and Selvaria. I wanna see her go one on one with Selvaria haha.

Miku LIVE Selection

First off, I got to say that I'm ubershock how popular Miku is. Who knows, in another half a century onwards, she might be the very epitome of Japanese music of what it is today.

Alice, one of the most beautiful and surreal experience for me. Remarkably the audience felt the same and went off of screaming the moment the melody plays. I would love to see Choucho or Supercell's Nagi performing this masterpiece live. Credits to Furukawa-P for creating such a serene piece of music.

From Y to Y definitely is one of my favorite Miku songs, simply amazing needless to say.

The world is Mine, yup the world is definitely going to be Miku's in years to come

Everlasting ~ Kylee

The Ending theme song for Gundam Unicorn 02 ~ the Second coming of Char. Pure awesome.

01. Everlasting
02. The Luckiest Girl in the World
04. Everlasting [MOVIE Version]
05. Everlasting [Less Vocal]

Kylee Saunders (born May 25, 1994 in Arizona, United States), better known mononymously as Kylee, is an American singer of Japanese descent. She is signed onto Sony Music Japan's DefStar Records label.

Born to an American father and Japanese mother, Kylee became interested in singing thanks to the influence of her father and was exposed to singing from an early age, dreaming of becoming a singer and often performing in front of crowds. When she was eleven years old, she passed an audition to perform the national anthem at the opening segment of an NBA game, earning a standing ovation. Soon after, this performance earned her the interest of music producers and she was signed onto the independent label RX-Records. Kylee attended Stoller Middle School in Portland, Oregon until 2007 when she returned to Arizona.

On October 17, 2008, "Vacancy" was released in the United States as a digital single.Under RX-Records, she released her first single "Vacancy" on December 3, 2008, which was featured as the ending theme to the Sony Computer Entertainment anime series, Xam'd: Lost Memories. On March 24, 2010 Kylee released her major debut single under Sony Music Japan's label DefStar Records, titled "Kimi ga Iru Kara" (キミがいるから?, "Because You Are Here"), which was featured as the theme song to the 2010 film Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac, a Japan-America co-production in which she also gave a cameo performance. Her second major label single, Missing/It's You, is slated for release on July 7, 2010, with "Missing" being the second opening theme song to the Bones and Stan Lee anime Heroman. She will also perform as one of the opening acts for the 2010 Summer Sonic Festival, playing on the Urban/Dance Stage.

Kylee Everlasting PV

You got it, the ending theme for the second episode of Gundam Unicorn entitled Everlasting by Kylee. She's like the younger version of Yuna Ito vocal wise.

Gundam Unicorn 02 ~ The return of Char

Well, if you got blown away by the first eps. Wait till you watch eps 2, it's pure freakin awesome. The opening starts off where the last eps concludes. Right to the action, just the way I like it. RX-0 engaging Kshatriya. Nice sequential battle scenes. The story has  given a more in-depth look on the current situation. Audrey aka Minerva Zabi still contemplates on what it is she truly wants. Banagre is still lovestruk for Audrey, Oh oh, the superb appearance and entrance by Sinanju piloted by none other than Fullfrontal and the rest you just need to watch for yourself to find out. The most amazing thing for the whole OVA is a piece of paper. Trust me, it's a bloody piece of paper. Stunning visuals and background as usual (OVA duh, 6 months watdaya expect) Music fits in perfectly in much more mellow times and conversations that sometimes are subtle for the credulous person. The theme song / Ending theme is kinda poppish I guess, but definitely reminded me of Beautiful world from Evangelion that fits suprisingly well into the Movie. First impressions ~ 9.5 out of ten

Spoilers ahead

I warned you

I'm serious haha

Not joking

Dissidia 012 X FF Versus XIII

First off we have Dissidia 012. Surprisingly, this is the prequel to Dissidia. Additional characters are a win-win here. Lightning from FF XIII, Kain Highwin from FF IV and Tifa Lockhart from FF VII are just a few of the good candies offered by Square Enix upon release. Hopefully, there's Zack Fair, Angeal, Vincent, Genesis, Seifer, Rinoa, Yuna, Rikku and Paine. (I can wish can I lol) Best quote "It's possible that I no longer meet the qualifications to fight for light. But I swear that here, I will protect you until the end. (Warrior of Light to Cosmos) I should say the true protagonist for this story haha.

Now this is what I'm talking about. A real nice FF storyline finally. Gawd, FF XIII really is a major let down. Beautiful architecture, ambiance, epic orchestra music, flawless swordplay that transcends is only a speck of what is to be expected from this epic proportion of what is called FINAL FANTASY. Finally, something worth of the name in a very long while. Darker genre of the fabled story, protagonist in suits. (Well Squall counts I think) and a Female Protagonist on par with Lightning and Yuna, Tough yet can be delicate at times. This is one superb game I wanna play so badly, storyline-wise as well as gameplay. Hopefully this one does exceed expectations period.

Kanashimi Wa Yuki Ni Nemuru

Well, this has got to be one of the best songs by Alan till date. The simple yet beautiful acoustic, strings and orchestral feel accompanied by Alan's most breathtaking voice makes this first track an easy hit. Loosely resembles once a December yet retains that standard evident style of Alan's. The second track starts off slow and mellow with piano arrangements. Just when you least expected, the soft Tibetan Wail kicks in which does coincide perfectly into the track. It takes a while but you will eventually find it in you to appreciate this wonderful track.

Track list
01. Kanashimi wa Yuki ni Nemuru
02. Nanomaki Tane
03. Kanashimi wa Yuki ni Nemuru (instrumental)
04. Nanomaki Tane(instrumental)

Alan – Kaze Ni Mukau Hana

Wow been a while since I've listened to music by Alan. I have to say this single which I thought of as an album initially has its flaws as well as luster. Oh yeah, the Tibetan wail is back as Kaze ni Mukau Hana starts, complemented with elements from Diamond and Ballad that is clearly evident. Sadly, this sounds a little Ayu-ish at some point. Koko ni Iru is something new, beautiful indeed. Li Hi Tabidachi, yet another ballad. Kinda lacking in my opinion maybe because it would have suited FictionJunction Wakana. Both Erhu versions rock needless to say. I have always appreciated the Acoustic counterparts of Alan's songs. The live performance is a let down for me since the music seems to overpower Alan's voice instead. Nobody knows but me sounds not bad in Chinese. The let down is My life in Chinese which does indeed pale in comparison to the Japanese counterpart. First impressions, 7 / 10

Track Listing
1) Kaze ni Mukau Hana
2) Koko ni Iru
3) Ii Hi Tabidachi
4) Nada Sousou (erhu version)
5) Kizuna (erhu version)
6) Gunjou no Tani (alan 1st concert -voice of you- version)
7) Megumi no Ame (alan 1st concert -voice of you- version)
8) Natsukashii Mirai ~longing future~ (alan 1st concert -voice of you- version)
9) Nobody knows but me (Chinese Version)
10) my life (Chinese Version)
11) Kaze ni Mukau Hana (Instrumental)
12) Koko ni Iru (Instrumental)

The 18 Martial Arts /十八般武藝 MV

Love this MV, I think he could have sticked with this plot and go all out if he had more budget. Cutting all the comical introductions from Love in Disguise, making it more dramatic, epic fantasy like similar to the Myth. It would have been much more awesome. Still Love in Disguise is not bad and deserves credit for that.

The 18 Martial Arts /十八般武藝

Lee Hom's 14th Studio Album. Most of the songs get a thumb up from me. Not too much of the overpowered chink out in some previous albums, with exceptions of Do you love me. A softer side of the genre, the theme songs is mellow and relaxing. Track 5 ~ Bo Ya cuts the Strings is definitely my favorite track for this album.

Track list ~
1. Dragon Dance
2. 杜 U ♥ Me [Do U ♥ Me]
3. 十八般武藝 [The 18 Martial Arts]
4. 你不知道的事(電影『戀愛通告』主題曲)[All The Things You Never Knew (Love In Disguise theme)]
5. 伯牙絕弦 (電影『戀愛通告』概念主題曲)[Bo Ya Cuts The Strings (Making of Love In Disguise theme)]
6. 柴米油鹽醬醋茶 [Firewood, Rice, Oil, Salt, Soy Sauce, Vinegar, Tea]
7. 美 [Beauty]
8. 需要人陪 [Need Someone By Your Side]
9. 天涯海角 [Ends Of The Earth]
10. 你不知道的事(宋曉青版本)[All The Things You Never Knew (Xiao Qing version)]
11. 自己人 [One Of Us]

Love in Disguise

Wow!! took me like forever just to find this movie. Never had the chance to watch it in the Cinemas. Couple seats lol, sad. Anyway, this movie is pretty much cliché in a sense. A Super Famous pop star portrayed by Alexander Wang Lee Hom who fell in love with a guzheng soloist portrayed by Crystal Liu Yi Fei. Disguised as a regular joe from some province in China, he infiltrated the institution to get closer to her.

The plot is really cliché. Predictable till the very end. Nevertheless, most of the elements and scenarios are nicely attached to make it work down smoothly. From the music point, it's really surreal with magnificent visual imagery arts of calligraphy that blends in pretty well. The theme song is pretty heart warming. Chink-out is used as the basis for most parts of Lee Hom's performance in which he is pretty much renowned for. There's even Fang Da Tong who made a cameo and later on performed in the movie.

Some of the conversations are pretty much boring. Some parts are unclear based on the intonation. Fortunately, the comedy sense compensates for that. Overall, it's a nice movie to watch with your love ones. Trust me, even though this movie is like 98 minutes long, it takes forever just to get through it lol.

Unlimited Blade Works ~ Impressions

Unlimited Blade Works. Before the release, no one made a big fuss about it. EVA 1.11 and EVA 2.22 gain so much popularity due to the original movie that closes with a freaking horrific ending that caused so many fans to send hate mails to the creator only to make him do a remake that spawns hope to the hearts of die hard and new fans. OK, enough about that. Fate / Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works. A few notes taken and will be stated below.

1) If you have not watched Fate/Stay Night TV Anime, watch it first. You will be very very blur if you have not watched the TV series. Well most of you will be screaming, damn the plot is uber confusing. It's too fast paced, the ending doesn't make sense. WTF? So fast, ranting on and on till it ends.

2) This is not a continuation from the end of the TV anime, nor a retold story (Watch TV reproduction of Fate/Stay Night) and you'll know what I mean. This is the Unlimited Blade Works Route, one of the 3 routes you can choose from the original game. The TV anime's plot is based upon the first route. If you want to further understand the story, play the game. Oh yeah it's a visual novel game with H elements (play at your own risk).

Now then, the back to the main discussion. I'm telling this from the perspective of a guy who did played the game and watched the TV series. So, my views may be either similar or pretty much different. The game starts off with one of the most notable chants from Fate/Stay Night, probably the most famous chant ever lol.

血潮は鉄で 心は硝子。
彼の者は常に独り 剣の丘で勝利に酔う。

"I am the bone of my sword.

Steel is my body, and fire is my blood.

I have created over a thousand blades.

Unknown to death.

Nor known to life.

Have withstood pain to create many weapons.

Yet, those hands will never hold anything.

So as I pray, 'Unlimited Blade Works'."

A solid intro with beautiful words. Fans would describe it appropriate, suitable, nicely done. First timers would say WTH is this? I say it's just right to start this off which does represent what the title suggest. You don't need any flashy intro with people narrating (Kotomine perhaps). Those words alone carry a heavy meaning behind. Anyone who has played the game would understand and connect to the emotions running through Archer when he uttered those famous lines from the chant.

Those who did watched the anime would see notable differences. The expressions are more genuine and each character's action are pretty much redefined. Normal actions such as walking and running are refurnished. Some actions are input with 3D cell shade.

The good part starts off with the Lancer X Archer dual. The battle sequence are better off with additional fight scenes and combos in between. The narrator aka (Kotomine) narrates about the The Holy Grail, the battle between 7 servants and masters and the ultimate prize in the end. First timers would be screaming WTF, that lancer dude just thrust the shiro guy and he's alive? Most of the sequences are key elements from the game and anime. Yes, it's pretty fast paced. The movie throughout depicts the decisions made to get towards the true ending of the game. The different decisions made will result in a different route. Thus this leads to Archer's decision that varies from the original main storyline due to the decision you make during the start. The movie fore-shows this very fact.

It saddens me to see Saber in less action. Then again it compensates with Rin showing more Tsundere expressions, epic battles with the best of the best, Lancer's great character, Shiro's just that good for a human and Archer still rocks even if he was the Antagonist.

1) The whole plot stays true to the Original. Good decisions made in order to get True Ending,

2) Battle sequences remastered, more After image present.

3) Berserker uses his trademark finisher (Thumbs up)

4) Gilgamesh is more active, Gates of babylon rules and Enkidu utilized

5) Gilgamesh is in casual attire.

6) Shiro is the real deal here. He seriously proves himself very capable for a human lol.

7) Archer and Shiro has high durability due to Avalon

8) The final battle is drop dead epic

9) Lancer is the man ~ Seriously, he is the man.

10) Excalibur pawns all

1) Really does stay true. No surprises if you have played the game.

2) Less Saber

3) Enuma Elish didnt even get screen time

4) Caster's love is unrequited yet again

5) Rider dies just like that

6) I'm not a huge fan of cell shaded swords, so yeah sue me lol.

7) Illyasviel von Einzbern gets a real gruesome death

8) Berserker gets defeated that easily WTF

9) Matou Shinji is alive

10) The mana transfer scene

Blood and Gore elements are definitely input into this, honed with the amount of detailedness in some respective scenes. Dislikes are obvious but inevitable since all key events must occur in order to reach the true ending (esp no 7 from dislike). The mana transfer was really sad since I expected the same thing from the game haha. Sadly this scene was altered to suit the audience. Enuma Elish didnt even get screen time lol. Sad, yet inevitable. Another disappointment.

It is noted that Archer did not die from Gates of Babylon while defending Shriou. This can be backed by the high durability he and Shirou possesses due to AVALON implanted in them. Since Archer is technically the future Shirou and Shirou did not return AVALON to Saber, this explains the high endurance of both characters in battle. Also this can thus conclude why Archer was defeated by Berserker in the TV anime. Since returning Avalon (Arthur's lost scabbard) results in Archer's endurance level reverting back to normal. Luck also plays a part and Archer does have poor luck. It is also to be noted that Unlimited Blade Works or UBW for short acts as the ultimate counter measure on Gilgamesh.

Shirou had a hard time fighting Gilgamesh a servant in reality. But once he summons the reality marble aka UBW, all penalties on Shirou are lifted. The cost for creating the weapons is greatly diminished and the speed at which they can be created is also increased. Moreover, Gates of Babylon has a slower summoning rate thus alowing Shirou an advantage to close in close combat to fight Gilgamesh thus defeating him (consumed by the holy grail) using Excalibur and finally Kansho x Bakuya with the decided blow to the right arm of Gilgamesh who did not managed to use Enuma Elish. Also the ending is noteworthy as the True ending of the game where Saber returns yet again and Archer departs, leaving a warm smile to Rin. Archer also uses a huge variety of arsenals at his disposal including Rho Aias, Caladbolg II, Hrunting and even Gates of Babylon (Fake). I must say I did enjoy the movie throughout except for the fight between Saber and Assassin. The fight scene from the TV Anime was indeed much better. The ending theme is quite decent. First Impressions ~ 9.6 / 10. A truly must watch for Fans of Fate/Stay Night.

I'm addicted to korean songs Nuuuuuuuuu

Well technically I'm addicted to this two. For some both MV's are good.

Anna Tsuchiya – RULE

Well this album seems a little better than Nudy Show. Well maybe some of Anna's Style doesn't suit my preference. Some of her track does retain that Anna Feel, rock and roll girl just wanna deliver the pump rock outburst that became the insignia of her own unique style. Some tracks does show more of the gentle and softer side which I definitely like about. Well it's just an okay album for me. Some tracks are definitely worth the download, some aren't.

Ayu Back to Back (Moon / Blossom & Crosswords)

"Moon/Blossom" is Japanese singer Ayumi Hamasaki's forty-eighth (forty-ninth overall) single, released on July 14, 2010. The first song on the single "Moon" is used to promote Honda's Zest Spark Kei car[citation needed] while the second song "Blossom" is used to promote Zespri kiwifruit.

All in one (Version A and B) Love meaning of love. Dislike the remix of both.

1) MOON (Original Mix)
2) blossom (Original Mix)
3) Don’t look back (Reggae Disco Rockers remix)
4) Microphone (THE LOWBROWS remix)
5) Last Links (Orchestra version) (CD Only)
6) meaning of Love (Acoustic Piano version)
7) blossom (Original Mix -Instrumental-)
8) MOON (Original Mix -Instrumental-)

"Crossroad" (stylised as crossroad) is the forty-ninth single by Japanese singer-songwriter Ayumi Hamasaki, released on September 22, 2010. The single is the second of a three-part project to celebrate her yet-unreleased fiftieth single L.

Ah finally, a little bit of the classic Ayu back and rolling. All 7 tracks are just remarkably nice to listen to. Even has that vibe effect.

Pokémon Apokélypse: Live Action

"I wanna be the best, like no one ever was"

I just wanna say one thing, man this sh*t is soooo wrong in sooo many levels. (watch the Boku no pico review). Damn that has got to be the ugliest pikachu like ever. What, Jessie and James actually looks cool here. Well I think it would have been a lot cooler if they had a bigger budget. Still, not bad.

Valkyria Chronicles 3 for the PSP

Valkyria Chronicles 3
A huge improvement as stated from various source. Looks awesome, Selvaria is alive oh yeah!!! Maximilian is alive boo!!! Wait WTF I thought they're dead. And so I heard, same timeline, different squad. That means Selvaria is gonna die AGAIN Nuuuuuuu!!!!! Well at least we have two girls duking it out. What seems to be a Cross between Rosie and Alicia as the new Valkyrie and a hot-headed chic that looks like a Dracsen who's not backing out from a battle. Yeah, can't wait.

Gundam Seed Complete Best

Dug this out from an old stash. Just feel like I wanna share this. Fans would be delighted with the all in ones of both OP and ED. But that's not the main focus. Remix tracks from track 9 onwards are the true bonuses for this album.
